Before 6 February 2025 the Workers of the Capital Development Authority -CDA experienced increased political tension ahead of the upcoming referendum. Through the CDA referendum workers show their confidence in the union’s capabilities while showing their dedication to the organization.

Chaudhry Muhammad Yaseen is a Globally renowned labour leader In Pakistan who is the General Secretary of one of the largest national Trade union centres Pakitan Workers Federation-PWF.His leadership places priority on CDA’s functions to support national development.

Union’s Role and Achievements:

During its previous tenure, the union implemented many initiatives that positively impacted employees’ lives. These include:
- Reversing the Local Government Ordinance that threatened job security.
- Restoring weekly holidays for sanitation and sewerage department employees.
- Approving new buses for CDA employees.
- Reinstating 141 daily wages and 12 terminated workers.
- Increasing the marriage grant from PKR 100,000 to PKR 200,000.
- Raising welfare funds for widows from PKR 30,000 to PKR 100,000.
- Doubling educational scholarships for employees’ children (from PKR 20,000 to PKR 40,000).
- Adding 10 employees to the Hajj quota.
- Increasing disability allowance from PKR 4,000 to PKR 7,000.Allocating 1% housing quota for disabled employees.
- Improving promotion quotas for stenographers and approving 200 residential flats in Alipur Farash.
